The People Who Save Lives At Safe Call Now… Tammy Norton

By Safe Call Now Admin

At Safe Call Now we are so grateful for the men and women who volunteer their time to serve all first responders, retirees and their family members nationwide in their times of need. You will never know who they are or what they look like and probably don’t care at 2:00 am because you just need help. Our Peer Advocates are so dedicated to guiding you through your time of crisis that we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce them to you. They really are special individuals.

Tammy has worked in Public Safety (Corrections) for 24 years in two different states. She currently is with the Oregon Department of Corrections. Tammy graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Master’s degree in psychology and holds a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice. She has also been in long term recovery for 29 years. She is a Peer Support for adult drug and alcohol addiction and has been a volunteer with Safe Call Now for almost 4 years. Tammy has a passion for First Responder wellness and eliminating the stigma for those that serve by offering education, resources and support so that not one First Responder has to ever feel alone. In her spare time she likes to travel, kayak, read and work with those in recovery.
